We performed the tests from North Macedonia using a connection that has a download speed of 32 Mbps and an upload speed of 6 Mbps. To test SugarSync’s speed, we uploaded a 1GB folder to its servers twice and then downloaded it twice, averaging the results. Speed is an important metric for cloud storage and online backup, especially for services like SugarSync where there’s no block-level algorithm, as it might mean having to wait a long time to upload large files.
